Take a look at me cause I could not care at all.

I need more introspection I think, also I need Elton John to teach me to be a better music writer.

Elton, I would love to do tea sometime.

But I find it strange sometimes that people listen to things that are sensitive and introspective and call that this loosely defined word I would keep hearing called 'emo'.

So what is emo exactly? As Ian McKaye once said "As if hardcore wasn't emotional to begin with." Well, yeah, hardcore is emotional, so whats the difference between Rites of Spring,
Embrace, Drive Like Jehu, Antioch Arrow and Black Flag or Dead Kennedys? So what do people perceive emo to be? When you see a kid, what compells you to call him/her emo? The thing is, they do not know what emo is, maybe to them its something like this.

So do I think emo exists? There is a more introspective form of Hardcore, where Hardcore deals with the environment that these suburban kids dealt with emo dealt with personal issues, (not to generalize mind you) kind of like external/internal. And I do like bands that people label as emo and screamo because if you listen to emo bands like Antioch Arrow/Rites of Spring/Circle Takes the Square and etc you'll find that not only are they poetic in lyrics but also they are generally musically creative as well. So yes I do think emo exists but its not what most people perceive it to be, its not straightened hair, its not black clothes, its not cutting yourself (which is a really sensitive issue by the way, like eating disorders, and I hate it when I hear someone say "go cut yourself"), its about not being afraid to not be macho and be called a fag, its poetry of anger, frusteration, sadness, and so much more. To me, its a very deep music form if you know where to look.

Its all just my opinions though, here for you to judge them, but heres some tracks you should judge as well.
