He Who Gets Slapped, Sledgehammer!

Haven't been on here much, just let me say the band is now just me and Ryan for the moment. We are just working, even have a new spiffy 4-track to record what we are doing. I haven't been here much because school has concluded for the semester and thus my access to the world of the wide web is limited.

So, first, yes we now have no drummer.

Second, I've made some exciting record finds lately...
- Retard Girl 7" on white vinyl by Hole.
- Hand Grenade 7" single by Team Dresch
- Coq Fighter 7" on velvet vinyl by Cheesecake (with a signed note to Phranc in it!)

And some other super-obscure indie/alternative/riot grrl/queercore records that you probably never heard of and are jealous of me for having.

Also, I've been watching "the Fly" a lot (Cronenberg's), and though its his "biggest hit" it still seems to be underrated...

Third, writing new songs and they seem to be getting better, I'm excited about the development but still anxious to find a cohesive line-up.

We'll see what happens over the next few months.

"Sisyphus is the happiest man alive."

I had an idea that graffitti, particularly writing on the wall is some form of existential crisis.

Think of it in the context of, "If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear it, does it make a sound?"

Well, if I do not write this on a wall, do you know that I exist? Do I exist in your reality? Do I exist at all?

Bullshit. Anomie.

[Insert quote here]

Just got back from San Diego, spent Christmas there with my honey and her family.

Here's what I got for Christmas:
- The Soft Machine by William S. Burroughs
- My Friend The Poet by Terrie Leigh Relf
- Incesticide, Nirvana
- An "F" in POLS 406 (A mistake, working it out in progress)
- $50 gift card (Going toward bills)
- Acoustic B200H [Head] and B410 [Cab] (A present to myself)

Pretty good, and I loved San Diego, I'll be putting up pictures soon enough documenting our adventure.

But its not like you care.

And the sky was all violet.

I think I want to be a writer, I mean aside from the whole music bit, something to do on my downtime I guess...

Not sure what kind, probably not a novelist, but short stories would be fun.

This Saturday were playing a show at the L'KEG Gallery, come check us out.

Its that Tomino-esque thing, saying its Gundam, but basically its giant robot anime.

Who's the girl in the banner you might wonder? This is the origin of that.

I miss the comfort in being sad.

To be honest with myself this decade is really fucking boring.

I didn't realize it when I bought it, but I have almost that same exact sweater.

But you know what? Sweaters were way better in the 90s, all we have nowadays are hoodies.
Most things in the 90s were better.

All of us have a place in history. Mine is clouds.

Not that I'm interesting enough to have a blog but whatever, right?

As a band name, "Believe It Or Not I Care".

Yes/No?

Watch "Pump Up the Volume" and you'll understand its context, but in a nutshell its a suicide help hotline that the highschool in the film sets up that is laughed at by all the cool alternative kids.
