Todd Schorr

This blog seems to be turning into a composite notebook for me. Anyway I'm looking at a lot of paintings and watching a lot of videos and I even got this snazzy book...
I'm excited.

Ediacara Biota

Charnia

It belongs in something called the "Vendobionta" kingdom. Conceptually created for animals in the Precambrian period that resemble no living creatures today nor have any living descendents, otherwise known as "failed experiments" in evolutionary biology that represent a completely extinct lineage.

Also its the oldest known multicellular creature to be found.

Arishadvargas that spill today.

Forgive me that I've used it for reasons that aren't holy
But for a person so pretty
And I so uninteresting and just not
The psalms of the Gita helped to friend them online.
I can't think of any other way to use it.

"The week that changed the world."

When I used to curate at L'KEG, often the day shift would be just a few hours of sitting in the gallery by myself doodling with crayola markers. Some of those I want to recreate on canvas with the first being this one I did of Nixon in titanic proportions killing Viet Kong with laser vision. I don't have the original doodle, actually I do not have any of them, L'KEG to the best of my knowledge kept them and the Nixon one specifically I gave to Cory of Blue Jungle. I'm going to change it to Cubans though, and will be titled something along the lines of how he would have approached the Cuban Missile Crisis if he won the election of 1960. I don't really like the idea of doing things with some doomsayer political message, but I think that one will be fun.

Case studies.

I will get your heart racing in my skin-tight jeans.

I'm posting it on here because I like it.

Even though it looks like the Katy Perry music video.

[Wearing skin-tight jeans right now, coincidence?]

"He's no fun in the sun!"

Went to Pasadena this Saturday to go see my brother do this:
But we stopped by Poobah Records and I picked up these:
This one I got on cassette for 50 cents.
But while there we didn't see any of these:
Oh well.

"Stretching his hand up to reach the stars, too often man forgets the flowers at his feet."

This one's for science. Or maybe just kicks.

As requested in his will, [Jeremy] Bentham's body was dissected as part of a public anatomy lecture. Afterward, the skeleton and head were preserved and stored in a wooden cabinet called the "Auto-icon", with the skeleton stuffed out with hay and dressed in Bentham's clothes. Originally kept by his disciple Thomas Southwood Smith, it was acquired by University College London in 1850. It is normally kept on public display at the end of the South Cloisters in the main building of the college, but for the 100th and 150th anniversaries of the college, it was brought to the meeting of the College Council, where it was listed as "present but not voting". The Auto-icon has a wax head, as Bentham's head was badly damaged in the preservation process. The real head was displayed in the same case for many years but became the target of repeated student pranks, including being stolen on more than one occasion. It is now locked away securely.

Oh, its my birthday...Again...

"There are three things I refuse to tolerate: cowardice, bad haircuts, and military insurrection."

Found these on Daul Kim's blog.

She was so cool, I wish I could've been her friend. I also wish I could find out who did this art exhibit.

I would've liked to see one of Frieza.
He was my favorite.

The Anti-Guru

I can't explain and I can't tell
When or whether I
Am disconnected completely
Or completely connected
They both seem the same.

And its been a while and I'm a little annoyed, I want to fuck the whole state of Illinois.

At 5:20 is that look, that fucking look in her face that proves to me that everything she is saying is as true as the gagging noise you make before you throw up. Makes me want to throw up but in a good way.

It doesn't matter what people say or what codswallop "proof" there is, the theories that she killed Kurt are all based in misogyny.
